SDSN and CSD invited leading scientists who are familiar with the evidence and the discussion about the origins of the pandemic to provide insight into the recommendations of the Commission to investigate both natural and laboratory-related scenarios and biosafety regulations.

The speakers are:

Prof. Jeffrey D. Sachs, Chair of the Lancet COVID-19 Commission; President, SDSN; University Professor and Director, Center for Sustainable Development, Columbia University

Dr. Alina Chan, Broad Institute

Dr. Richard H. Ebright, Rutgers University

Ms. Emily Kopp, US Right to Know

The importance of the discussions will become evident as you listen through. You need to pay attention because the manner of thought is scientific, so highly fact based, and avoiding inferences or stating their weakness when inferring them.

The topic isn't getting much attention essentially because of the "don't rock the boat" phenomena working over a number of hierarchies simultaneously (lab workers don't want to be in trouble, lab firms don't want to be defunded, Washington commissioning the labs doesn't want to sound directly involved, and so on, so you just get silence). The complete lack of responsibility by Washington regarding war (for example, the purpose, or what occurs) is not just common, but consistent; however similar problems with opacity and profoundly irresponsible actions by state power are perhaps not surprisingly similar with pandemics.
