Shrewd’m is run by Julian Cochran, of Monaco. In brief, this is what it keeps, and why.

Your account. Your email address and the name you choose. Your posts are public, under that name. Your email address is never shown or sold, and is used only for Shrewd’m’s own messages.

Your visits. The time of your last visit to each board, so that posts written since can be shown in bold, and a short record of what members do on the site, such as joining and first posting, to improve it.

Arriving from an advert. A cookie remembers which of our adverts brought you, for 90 days, and it is noted once if you join, so that we know which adverts bring members. Pages reached from a Google advert, and the Learn pages, load Google’s advertising tag, which tells Google when a visitor from its advert joins or first posts.

Facebook and Instagram. If you arrive from one of our adverts there, you are asked once whether we may tell Meta if you join. If you agree, our server tells Meta when you do, sending only the code Meta put in the link, the time, and the name your browser gives itself. If you say no, nothing is sent.

Nothing else. Nothing is sold, and no other company’s trackers are used. To see, correct or delete what is kept about you, write through Contact or Support Shrewd’m.
