The Republicans need to stick to their guns, not break the fillibuster rule, and wait for the Dems to cave.
As long as the Republicans have a little more patience, the Dems will of necessity, cave.
Why?
Because of all the money-laundering of Democrat political campaign contributions from their constituencies, such as unions and public employees.
If the unions and public employees aren't getting paid, then the contribution spigot will slow to a drip.
I'm figuring by Thanksgiving--or perhaps Christmas--Schumer will come out with a pronouncement that he has released his caucus to vote to pass the C.R. for "the good of the American people" and will continue to blame everything on the Republicans.
Because all the Dems care about is the flow of political campaign contributions. But Schumer won't say that's the real reason.
