If you ever find yourself in the Los Angeles area, a visit to the Getty Center or the Getty Villa will not disappoint. Admission is free and requires a timed entry reservation. I believe parking is somewhere between $10 - $20 dollars.

Getty has two locations, one in the hills and one near the ocean.

The Getty Center, located in Brentwood, showcases European art amid modern architecture and bird's-eye views of Los Angeles.

The Getty Villa Museum lies along the coast and displays ancient Greek and Roman art in a recreated Roman house.
