Those effects are not independent. They need to wreck the economy, to gain public acceptance of their remedy for the economy, which is always "JC" tax cuts. We have seen that play out in recent days: national debt and bond yields soar. So the Sec Treasury prescribes "growth" as the cure. And the GOP's universal tool to juice "growth" is always, in every case, "JC" tax cuts. Given that 'JC" tax cuts are the objective, they wreck the economy on purpose. Watch for another round of "JC" tax cuts as soon as we are past the election. The war is a device meant to make the mob rally around the leader, in spite of being screwed over by that same leader, by invoking some supposed "threat" that requires a military response. Trump's failing is, being the "JC" of a closely held corporation, he has no background in winning assent to his actions, rather than simply giving orders.
