It might be a 'red herring'. Many people here - you and me - are from TMF. TMF wasn't a pawn shop. It was a finance site point being, we're all not Bill Gates, but, a vast majority of TMF users ----were sorta kinda ok if the price of eggs went up.

Thing is, for many - it's like gas prices. Remember gas prices? The thing that TMF Liberals used to whine about if they were up during Bush's watch? It's an every day thing that slaps people in the face. DITTO eggs. Dunno ifs you watched West Wing but Toby Ziegler said once "...it's the things. It's the 75 cent hamburger things.....the every day things. And we go crazy when we can't depend on the things" I'm paraphrasing but pretty close.

It DOES resonate with people. Mind you these are the same people who buy tattoos, "gym" membership, "streaming" services and line up for the new smartphone model. Nevertheless, what you call Red Herring is real with voters and then - toss in a political campaign skillfully talking about it and ....sorry.....but egging people on :)

First step if you believe in "Democracy!" - figure out how to take the covers you need.....seriously. Or at least dont' visibly dismiss their concerns.
