If someone appears to be repeatedly personal, lean towards patience as they might not mean offense. If you are sure, however, then do not deepen the problem by being negative; instead, simply place them on ignore by clicking the unhappy yellow face to the right of their name.

I'm thinking sano is right: it's futile to offer facts and evidence only to have them ignored by the same group of alt-fact trolls

I've proposed an FAQ page on which facts would be enumerated so that when faced with a brandolinian zone flooded with shit such as the ones you've been refuting factually, you could just provide a link to the FAQ page and relevant fact number.
