The week's question
In December 2024, in the thread "Re: BRK: Why Not XOM?", BreckHutHigh asked the members: "What about the long road trips with kids?" This week it is put to everyone again. The button below opens the small thread re-asking it - read what others have said so far, then give your own answer as an ordinary reply.

On a related note, Mark Wayne Mullin is making noises about operationalizing Trump’s threats.

The threats to imprison state election officials that don't toe the regime's line?

DHS secretary vows fines — and even prison time — for election officials that don’t comply

Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin on Friday said officials who don't cooperate with the administration's election security efforts may be slapped with fines — and potentially prison time.

"If the election officials, once we gave them the information they need to secure their elections — and they chose not to — then those individuals can also be held accountable by fines, by penalties, and even, depending on how far it goes, prison time," Mullin said during a press conference at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building.

Michigan Sec State Benson has refused to hand over all the voter registration information demanded, and refused to hand over all the ballots cast in Wayne County, so she would be on that list.

Channel 4 has been running clips of interviews with all the candidates for Gov, on it's "news" broadcast. Of course, all the GOP candidates trot out GOP orthodoxy: repeal the income tax and the state education property tax, and the economy will be so juiced it would make up for the lost revenue. One Dem sounds like a nut. Benson really doesn't say anything, on any topic, completely devoid of any policy ideas. So, one of the Repubs will win. Good thing I don't have any spawn in public school, because we're frelled.
