"Rapist." That's Trump's own White House lawyer describing him on live TV Saturday, and he wouldn't take it back when the host tried to correct him.
The lawyer is Ty Cobb, who spent ten months inside Trump's first White House. He was on MS NOW's The Weekend for a segment on the Supreme Court waving through Trump's ballroom when he pivoted to the Founders.
"They didn't really draft the Constitution with the expectation that an informed electorate would elect somebody like Trump, a malignant narcissist, convicted felon, rapist, and somebody who was really out to feather his own nest and pursue all these vanity projects."
Host Jonathan Capehart cut in.
"Ty, I just have to stop you because you just called the president a rapist. And that is a legal thing that he has not been convicted of. So we just got to be clear on that."
Cobb didn't dispute it.
"No, you're absolutely right. He has not been convicted of it. But the federal judge who oversaw the E. Jean Carroll trial said on the record that he was guilty of rape."
"No, no, no, sexual assault," Capehart said.
"No, actually, Jonathan, you're wrong. I'll send you the site."
"Please do."
On the judge, Cobb was right.
