Saw these debt ceiling facts today...

The GOP raised the debt ceiling:

- 3 times under Trump
- 7 times under W. Bush
- 18 times under Reagan

97% of all US debt was incurred prior to Biden's presidency.

25% of all US debt was incurred under Trump.

The debt ceiling has never been lowered (but the U.S. does occasionally pay off debt).

Never.

Somebody recently said: "That's a very, very sacred thing in our country, debt ceiling. We can never play with it."

And said: "When I first came into office I asked about the debt ceiling. And I said, I remember to Sen. Schumer and to Nancy Pelosi, 'Would anybody ever use that to negotiate with?' They said, 'Absolutely not.'"

And also said: "That's a sacred element of our country. They can't use the debt ceiling to negotiate."

But now?

The Orange Orb says Republicans should allow a default "unless they get everything they want. Do not fold!!!"

Huh.
