I love Caddyshack, and you characterize the movie quite well. But you stumble extending that to Trump. Czervik started from nothing and built his wealth; truly a self-made man. Contrast Trump being born wealthy, and then being so inept that his fortune would have done better in an index fund. Smails is the bigot, and said he "owed it to them", referring to sentencing people to death. That's Trumpian logic.
Trump is not Czervik. Czervik is crude and boorish, which Trump is also. But he's not a bigot, not an inept business man, nor does he crap all over the little guy. That's Smails. So I submit Smails is closer to Trump, and Smails definitely is the bad guy in the movie.
