That is an oversimplified and slanted accounting of the events leading up to the establishment of the state of Israel.

The UN Partition Plan thus represents both the fruits of Zionist efforts to secure international recognition of Jewish sovereignty in Palestine and the immediate precursor to the establishment of the State of Israel in May 1948, predicated as it was on the expulsion of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from their lands."
This revisionist narrative is slanted the other way. A 2/3 majority of the U.N. general assembly supported the resolution. The Arab countries of course thought that anything short of complete annihilation of the Jewish population would be a "deep injustice". And the establishment of Israel wasn't predicated on the expulsion of anyone. The expulsion was the direct result of a war initiated by those who rejected the original two state solution. Many Palestinians chose not to flee, or be "expelled", resulting in the fact that there are now 2 million Arab Israeli citizens living within Israel's pre-1967 borders.
