Confused here too. Surprised we made a large initial buy and a then quick large sale. TSM and tech category seems like a potential T&T position but size of $4-5B seems like more likely a WEB decision. I think T&T are each managing $20B, so it possibly could represent their trade. Maybe growing geopolitical tensions and risks, but those were there to a large degree months ago. Interesting we are a net seller of equities Q4. Interested in other's thoughts and speculation.


I was as surprised as anyone - I would have bet a dollar that the TSM position would have been larger at year end. I do think it was Warren. He may have sold the lots he owned at a loss at year end and kept the profitable lots. Or maybe he talked about it some more and thought about it some more and changed his mind. If it was tax loss harvesting we should see the position grow again in Q1 (baffling commentators). If it disappears completely I guess he changed his mind.

To whoever suggested Berkshire might make a direct investment in Intel - Please god NO! That would be one bad sign.
