Apple announced a $500 billion investment in U.S. manufacturing over the next 4 years, that also includes hiring 20,000 employees. I support this type of high tech manufacturing in the U.S. (for both economic and national security reasons) which is why I am a supporter of Biden’s CHIPs Act.
Of course, this won’t do much to solve the unemployment of individuals who do not have a college degree. From the link:

China is known for their laser focused retaliatory tariffs, and I expect them to use them again. These will most likely offset the new jobs somewhat.
