The week's question
In December 2024, in the thread "Re: BRK: Why Not XOM?", BreckHutHigh asked the members: "What about the long road trips with kids?" This week it is put to everyone again. The button below opens the small thread re-asking it - read what others have said so far, then give your own answer as an ordinary reply.

My mobile phone service is Google Fi on a Samsung phone.

My wife just commented to me that she was too tired and didn't want to make babka (not that I had asked her to).

Out of my pocket, a non-corporal man's voice volunteered that using good water was important for making vodka and went on for a good 30 seconds about fermentation etc.

This sort of thing has happened every few weeks. I don't think I have ever said Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (or "Hello Google", Siri, Alexa or any such thing) and it makes me concerned that my phone is listening to me and surrounding conversations and who knows what is flowing up-stream to Google. And, considering it confused my wife saying babka for vodka, who knows how it is interpreting TV shows I might be watching vs. what anyone with earshot of me is saying.
