Since then it's come out that the Senate had a hand in starting the move to ask Biden to stop his candidacy. I pay attention to new things liek that and would like a discussion among interested folks, but not folks who say things like "partisan masters" because my experience is people who use phrases like that haven't done the heavy lifting of trying to objectively understand what is going on and uses loaded phrases as a substitute.

Let me tell you, I think it's very difficult at times to understand what's going on. When Biden crapped the debate, I was already unhappy because winning seemed distant. Albaby laid it out -

1. continue with Biden and we lose not only the Presidency, but also the legislative seats,

2. Biden steps out -if we go to a convention brawl - chaos and the candidate isn't seen as legitimate by the states - which meant legal fights, with an extremely good chance Dems lose and the down ballot too,

3. Biden steps out, we field Harris, she's legit, we lose the Presidency, but have a good chance of keeping down ballot.

Bummed me out, but after adjusting I hoped for Harris, and lo and behold, that's what happened. It happened so smoothly I was pleased and happy with outcome, and grateful to Albaby for outlining it for us. Made it easier on me to transition.
