Most combustion sedans have average driving distance of 30 miles/gallon, 100 miles would cost 3.3 gallon and $10 with $3/gallon price. There is no saving on fuel cost with EV in the United States. That's very different in China, where electricity rate is about 1/3 of that in the US while fuel is about 30-50% more expensive than the US. That's the main reason EVs are fast growing in China.
