Over 70 million Americans voted for Trump. The map of presidential election results - county by county - is Exhibit A of the stark reality.

When you look at Exhibit A (map of presidential election results by county) and get verklempt looking at all the red, remember that even with all that overwhelming red color, Mr. Trump couldn’t get 50% of the popular vote.

Why?

It goes back to something I learned in civics class many, many years ago; people vote, not land.
