Any 'article' that refers to an injection as "the jab" can reliably be dismissed as bullsh!t.

Not necessarily. Referring to a vaccination shot as a "jab" is a British thing. The Brits use "jab" almost exclusively, even in reputable news articles like this one https://www.bbc.com/news/health-59489988

I simply view both "jab" and "shot" as two different colloquial names for a vaccination injection.
