" Warren Buffett is now the undisputed all-time champion at selling stocks to own entirely safe Treasury Bills. In 2024, he raised a net $134 billion in cash by selling stocks, the largest sales being Apple (AAPL) and Bank of America (BAC). That almost doubled his cash level to $334 billion. I would classify that as selling a lot, especially because both major stocks had very high embedded capital gains, meaning that he also paid an incredible amount of taxes. The only sensible way to look at this is that he is on the same page as the most negative forecasters in feeling that the 10-year prospects for stock returns aren't good at all."
