Seems he is objecting to USians supporting the Israeli government, regardless what extremes of brutality it engages in.

He didn't say "the Israeli government." He said Israel. And unlike support for the Israeli government, about 90% of American Jews support the continued existence of a Jewish state. So that distinction matters for American Jews, who want to be able to support the existence of a Jewish homeland the same way that Japanese people are allowed to want Japan to continue to exist as a Japanese homeland (for example) without being told that if they don't see the error of their ways they'll get what's coming to them.

But what El-Sayed says doesn't matter. One of the articles I read for the previous post said that nothing El-Sayed says matters, because they are going to hang Piker on him no matter what.

The same way people kept hanging Sister Souljah on Bill Clinton? I don't think so.

It's absolutely true that Republicans are going to keep claiming that El-Sayed is an extremist no matter what he says, but the jewish democrats that are concerned about Piker would probably be mollified with an express clarification that El-Sayed does not accept his views on the country of Israel and the 'actions' that people will take against American Jews if they are invested in the continued survival of that country.
