Wouldn't be surprised to see some interesting announcements following Greg Abel's September visit to Tokyo.
First, BRK's holding of the five Japanese trading companies is bumping up past the 10% thresholds agreed some time ago.
Would be nice to see if the thresholds can be increased to 15% or even 20%
Second, BRK's interest in home builders presents a nice opportunity with a few of Japan's large home builders Daiwa Home Group and Sekisui Home. I think both have US subsidiaries.
Third, Japanese P/C insurers are actively seeking foreign shareholders to help soak up the shares that they are required to divest to limit Japanese company crossholdings. See article link below.
