Now, they agree ICE is going too far and is using the wrong tactics. However, chanting “abolish ICE” isn’t going to get these guys back.
Was in Boston last night and had the local news on. Ad for some dem pol used that very phrase: “abolish ICE”. Ok. Then what?
Then return maybe to the good old days before ICE was created in 2003? ICE was created as part of the new DHS, in response to the 9/11 attack. The issue was that multiple agencies were not sufficiently coordinated to share information and foil such an attack. Our response was to create a whole new federal agency that has morphed into the monstrosity of a police state. We don’t need a federal police force roaming the streets, certainly not one that violates all of our constitutional protections. Illegal immigrants were deported by the millions by previous administrations, without terrorizing the country. Yes, ICE should be abolished, and the process of deporting people from this country should be reformed.
