The week's question
In December 2024, in the thread "Re: BRK: Why Not XOM?", BreckHutHigh asked the members: "What about the long road trips with kids?" This week it is put to everyone again. The button below opens the small thread re-asking it - read what others have said so far, then give your own answer as an ordinary reply.

Jerce Reyes Barrios, a professional soccer player from Venezuela who protested the Maduro regime in February and March 2024 and was detained and tortured after one of the demonstrations is one of the men King Donald sent to El Salvador under the Alien Enemies Act.

Barrios came to the U.S.-Mexico border legally through the CBP One app in September 2024 but was deported for having a gang-affiliated tattoo and for a photo of him supposedly displaying a gang sign.

The tattoo in question showed a crown sitting on top of a soccer ball with a rosary and the word "Dios" (God), according to Tobin. A declaration from the tattoo artist confirmed that Barrios chose it because it was similar to the Real Madrid soccer team logo, the attorney said. According to Tobin, those alleged gang signs were the hand symbol for rock and roll and "I love you" in sign language.

Tobin also said she submitted records from Venezuela that indicated Barrios had no criminal record in his home country and was employed as a professional soccer player and children's soccer coach.

Umm.

Barrios is a professional soccer player who was jailed and tortured by the Maduro regime, who entered this country LEGALLY to seek asylum, and who has NO CRIMINAL RECORD in either country was deported to rot in a prison in El Salvador because, according to King Donald and Lil Marco:

1. They get to say who's a terrorist;

2. Once they decide you're a terrorist, they'll deport you immediately and deprive you of appearing before a judge;

3. After they deport you to an American-paid foreign prison, no criminal charges are necessary to keep you in forced labor for as long as they say.

But sure, King Donald bootlickers, please tell us how much safer we are without the writ of habeas corpus.
