FBI Quietly Revised Violent Crime Data, Now Showing Surge Instead Of Reported Decrease

The FBI updated its 2022 crime statistics in September, showing a 4.5% increase in violent crime instead of a 2.1% drop. The change was not announced by the FBI and was based on data from fewer law enforcement agencies than before.
