Postmaster General David Steiner told a Senate committee that, if adopted, the rule would have USPS withhold mail ballots from states that don’t hand over to the federal government lists of people who requested absentee or mail ballots.
Therein lies the fun part.
When the states mail the ballots, they HAVE handed over the list of people who requested absentee ballots. ALL OF THEM (meaning *both* ALL the states *and* ALL the ballots). Oh, the federal govt FAILED TO BE PREPARED? Not the states' problem.
KEY POINT: The states do NOT know who will RECEIVE an absentee ballot until such a request is actually made AND THE ABSENTEE BALLOT IS SENT (because the state has to do its verification/documentation/etc BEFORE sending an absentee ballot). Thus, it is UNABLE to provide a complete list of ALL voters (absentee or in-person) because that list continuously changes--and it always changes, up to--AND INCLUDING--election day. This was publicly documented by O'Keefe in MN in the primary elections held in August 2026. His MULTIPL ATTEMPTED ELECTION FRAUD CRIMES--and criminal impersonations--were caught and identified as he to commit those impersonation crimes AND vote crimes. In MN, it is a CRIME to impersonate a voter at a voting place. He chose to post the videos of himself (and another person) committing those crimes, so no claim of Fifth Amendment protection exists.
