These sorts of "studies" are almost a daily thing.

Researchers find new link between eggs and Alzheimer’s

According to the findings, people who ate eggs at least five times a week had up to a 27 percent lower risk of developing Alzheimer’s compared with those who rarely ate them.

Even participants who only consumed eggs a few times each month appeared to show a reduced risk.

So, if I have breakfast at Tim Horton's every weekday: egg-something, and coffee, I reduce dementia risk by 27% and 18%. Of course, it says "up to", so that was probably the skimpy end of the curve. The average was probably a lot less, but the article doesn't say that. It said "EAT EGGS, lots of eggs", just like the other study said "drink coffee, lots of coffee".

Wonder what my mom had for breakfast, before the Alzheimer's set in, because drinking a lot of tea didn't prevent it?

Ah, now I know why the egg eaters didn't develop Alzheimer's. The cholesterol killed them first. ;)
