My mind is blown!

For the past ~6 weeks, I've been using chatGPT from OpenAI. Some of you may have heard about it. It's amazing. I don't often use hyperbole; it's truly warranted in this case.

You have to try it - here are some suggestions:

* Write a 500-word bio on Charlie Munger and include some of his famous quotes.
Rewrite the above in the form of a poem in the style of Wilfred Owen with a sad start and a happy ending.
Write a song about the above in rap style and show the chords too. (Wow!)

* Give me an easy pasta recipe that uses onions, potatoes, tomatoes, and carrots and can be cooked in under 15 minutes.
Give me another that doesn't use any dairy products.

* I'm going to London for the first time. Create a 3-day itinerary with an emphasis on historic sites and the oldest pubs.

* Here is my resume. Write a cover letter. <paste resume>
* I want flexibility and a short commute time. What are the best companies for a chemist in Portland?
* I enjoy talking to people, working with Excel, and playing video games. What are some possible career choices that offer high pay and great long-term prospects?

* Summarize the following into a list of the top 5 talking points. <paste large text>

* Write a short blog post on how punk correlates to Guru Nanak's teachings.

* Write a 500-word essay on the history, uses, and abuses of umbrellas and possible future developments.
* Find me 5 songs, released since 2010, with a female vocal, no guitars, and a fast pace.

* Explain AI and machine learning to a 10-year-old.

The best for last - for the computer-nerds:
* Write a Python script that I can run in a Unix shell that fetches stock prices for ORCL, IBM, and AAPL from a publicly available API and updates the prices every 30 seconds.
* Write the HTML for a webpage that uses an API to find the best flights between 2 input locations and show the results in descending price order.
* Optimize the following code. <paste your code here> (Wow!)
Find any bugs in the above code. (Double-Wow!)
Write documentation for the above and test cases. (Stop! Please...)

Try it: Google 'chatGPT', log in, and try some of the above.

It truly is a "come to Jesus" moment, and the future looks exciting and very disruptive. And GPT4 isn't even here yet! Google has a lot of catching up to do.
