We could discuss for days whether or not the United States made verbal promises or tricked the Soviets on NATO expansion, and there's plenty of evidence on both sides of the issue to keep the discussion hot and heavy for quite some time but there is one inescapable fact: there never was a written agreement.
Nitpicking here, but why mention the expansion of drone strikes by Obama over Bush (side note: Obama, started publishing drone strike casualties in about 2015, a policy which Trump ended under his administration) and leave off that Trump escalated drone strikes by several times the accelerated rate of Obama? Just curious.
And also, I don't seem to see much in the way of criticism of Russia -- just the lovely humanitarian efforts of Mother Russia.
