I'm not sure I understand your point. I'm not arguing that the Jews are the only people that are indigenous to the area. Just that they are an indigenous people to the area.
The fault is mine. Instead of assigning the indigenous argument to you, I should have claimed, as we agree............ that claiming indigenous PRIMACY is a bogus argument and fraught with historical revisionism... and does little to address current problems.
I’ve always loved the Lakota argument about their indigenous claim on the Black Hills (which they stole from the Kiowa, who in turn stole it......)
The Lakota didn’t even arrive on the Great Plains until after the late 1700’s.
And that’s no slam on the Lakota. For the most part, we arrived here even later.
But here we all are- and that’s the challenge that should fire our imaginations as we seek cooperative solutions.
