In the case of Dengue, the second infection is (usually) the worst. There are four different types of dengue. Y9u develop antibodies for the first infection, and when another one appears the first infection's antibodies are reproduced, which may be ineffective if it is one of the other types. It takes a bit for your body to recognize it's producing the wrong antibodies and produce the right ones,
