“We made promises to those fighting by our side to bring them to the U.S.,” Representative Don Bacon, Republican of Nebraska, said.

Well, Mr. Bacon. You’re a member of Congress. Write a bill instructing the President to make those folks legal residents of the US and immediately bring them here.

You could go a step further and provide a clear path to citizenship as well. That’s where background checks might be useful.

Do you have the courage to give the current President that kind of instruction? Or are you just another in a long line of Chicken Republicans who are all talk and no action?
