I am a member of "them" too. I picked things up as I went along, but I admire those who have better skills and are kind. My entire family is smarter than I am, but I'm also socially awkward, prone to gaffs, and lack self assurance. So I got a lot of ridicule from them, and we aren't close. But I followed your thinking in the FTL thread and you aren't shabby at all.
