Iran could just outlast this - with a bit of quiet help from China.
They don't have mod-terms. They don't have people whining that they can't buy lacrosse shit at Dicks Sporting goods because of gas prices.
Their bast strategy would be to just take up knitting or painting while all this goes on.
And if anyone wanted to start sticking it to Israel (nobody has ever wanted to do that....so I'm just imagining) they'd give Iran the aid needed to outlast this.
If adversaries (like China, whom Repubs and Dems wanted "free trade" with) want to see America's influence ---shrink a bit in that key regions, they'd provide Iran with cash and egg rolls until this is over.
In the end, if this went another 8-12 months, Trump would literally have to wear a dress and ride a unicycle if they told him to as a pre-condition of opening the Strait.
This isn't personal against Trump for me. He's not the only President to be ruined by servitude to Israel.
Iran? Frankly I wonder if we couldn't jut do business with them, have cultural exchanges with them. Would actually be a lovely friendship and business partner.
