That seems daft. Can they compel you to reveal whether or not you've enabled biomarker unlocking? That's a thing in your mind!
It's not daft - it's an extension of their prior jurisprudence on what can be compelled from a person. They can take your fingerprints or draw blood, because that's not considered being a witness against yourself. That's the examination of physical phenomena in the world, not requiring you to provide information that's within your mind under compulsion.
I'm pretty sure they can't compel you to inform them whether you have biomarker unlocking. They can try it, and they can require you to do the things that would unlock the phone if they're enable (like put your finger on the scanner), but they can't make you answer their questions. Again, none of this is legal advice, of course.
