I agree with you. Just to be clear, my post was intended to show there were and are legitimate questions about the numbers reported and the Ministry of Truth has no business colluding with big tech to suppress opinions that question their numbers.

There were some problems, and some were tied to specific state(s), but the death reporting form was two tiered - per memory the top part of the form was used if the determination was made that Covid caused the death, but had lines for contributing other factors, and the bottom part of the form was used if the patient had Covid, but it didn't cause the death.
Covid kills by other means, so it can cause respiratory failures, pneumonia,etc. It can get the T cells to attack blood vessel lining and good lung tissue. It can cause heart attack and stroke. And some of it can be a rapid onslaught like Dengue hemorrhagic fever. I'm just not going to substitute my judgement for the medical professional that fills out the form,while every conspiracy nut will do just that. I expect some mistakes. I do remember some significant real controversies, but not what they were. But I think they were under Trump. ;P
