The week's question
In December 2024, in the thread "Re: BRK: Why Not XOM?", BreckHutHigh asked the members: "What about the long road trips with kids?" This week it is put to everyone again. The button below opens the small thread re-asking it - read what others have said so far, then give your own answer as an ordinary reply.

The convicted felon rapist was rambling, rambling, rambling in Philadelphia yesterday, promising the cult that he would make America's educational system into Norway's: "It will be phenomenal. It will be like beautiful. It will be like Norway. Norway has a great education system."

The convicted felon rapist and his cult are too stupid to realize that Norway has some of the highest education spending as a percentage of GDP and public education is free, except for pre-primary fees. Even college is free in Norway: the universities and most university colleges are run by the Norwegian state, and studying at these institutions is free of charge.

In primary education, no grades are given. Kind of like the "participation" awards that bighairymike was whining about yesterday. Grades are first received in mandatory subjects starting in the Norwegian version of middle school, but no earlier.

Norway has equitable funding for all schools unlike here in America where there's a vast disparity in quality between wealthy white suburban schools and largely non-white urban schools.

There's no religion in schools in Norway. No ten commandments.

In short, the educational system in Norway is the exact opposite of what the convicted felon rapist advocates for America.

But like the guy said: "I love the poorly educated."
