Indeed they are amazing. Even just now---- had a BASE in the Iraqi desert lol.
Most of us old phartz remember the Entebbe raid. Sticks in my mind that, another time, Israeli commandos hit an Egyptian held island, and carried an entire Soviet built SAM system back to Israel.
I respect their prowess so much - -intelligence. But also ---look at what they do in colleges, medicine (stuff MAGA doesn't seem to like so much but we love Israel), commerce.
As a wise man once said, we never hear about the really successful CIA ops. We all heard about the Canadians moving USians who had escaped from the embassy in Tehran out of Iran. I never heard a whisper about the US role in that op, until it was declassified, years later, and "Argo" was released.
