And still loving it! We grabbed an AirBnB in downtown, walking everywhere. Have been EASILY walking 5+ miles a day, often twice that, though that is a personal preference, because how else could we eat at all these great restaurants and still fit into our clothes? So many neighborhoods with very distinct ethnicities and personalities, that experiencing Toronto is like a world tour where everyone speaks English, (except our landlord with whom we use Translate,) and our Verizon phones need no extras to work here. Best of all, we drove here, eliminating the need to fly, though we have friends and family periodically flying in to join us along the way. No room in the garage for a second car. Besides all the neighborhoods and restaurants, some of our favorite attractions include the Bata Shoe Museum, the Toronto Islands, East End, Kensington Market, grabbing last minute heavily discounted Rush tickets at Mirvish Theaters for Broadway type shows, St. Lawrence Market, Jazz clubs....still have to do CN tower, though our terrace has a pretty amazing skyline view and the drinks are cheaper, Casa Loma, and Art Gallery of Toronto. Also very much want to try the public transit, though we have been putting some great miles on by foot. The PATH, an indoor network of stores, restaurants, and doctors offices, winding underground through the city, was great on those smoked in or rainy days, not that there have been many. I loved Montreal last summer, particularly practicing my French and following my ancestors footsteps, found cruise ship passengers ruined Quebec City for me, but so far completely love Toronto. Did Niagara Falls last year and will do it 3 more times in 5 weeks this year with our guests. I can think of worse things to do. It's pretty awesome. Particularly on the Canadian side!
Application is in and "received" for Certificate of Citizenship. Will likely check out Vancouver and pop into Seattle next summer, but, obviously, loving it here.
