Over here in Reality World, we had a Republican Presidential primary. I don't recall who your #1 was, but mine was DeSantis and I was very vocal about that. But RonD finished second and dropped out, leaving Trump as the presumptive nominee. - Dope

I actually preferred Vivek but pragmatically he was just too new, too little name recognition, to have much of a chance. Desantis was my second choice, along the theory of getting mostly MAGA policies without the Trump drama. But I am happy with Trump. Desantis and Vivek will get their turn. The Republicans have a young and strong bench.
