I've always thought time capsules were very cool. But also a bit sad knowing I won't be around to see this one being opened 250 years from now on America's 500th birthday, in 2276.
Will America even still be around? Will humanity have avoided nuclear Armageddon? Climate change? The next deadly pandemic? Will we be living under the beneficent rule of AGI, or its despotic rule? Will we have emigrated to the moons of Saturn and Jupiter? The asteroid belt? The nearest stars? I want my Star Trek future!
