Medicare is a lifeline for a lot of poor Americans. But tax cuts for the wealthy are
super important ( to the wealthy, lol ) to the American way of life.
As we inch ever closer to a dystopian society............... maybe Kristi Noem can
pitch a Hunger Games reality TV show ( for American citizens, not for immigrants ), I'm sure Trump would be on board.

snips:
"under a law already on the books called PAYGO (Pay-As-You-Go), when Congress passes something that increases the deficit, they have to make up for it by automatically cutting spending somewhere else."

"The CBO has crunched the numbers and said that unless Congress waives PAYGO, Medicare will get hit with a 4% cut every year starting in 2026, totaling about $500 billion over the next 10 years."

"Those cuts won’t come from beneficiaries’ checks—but they’ll hit doctors, hospitals, Medicare Advantage plans, and drug coverage providers. And when providers get paid less, many will limit the number of Medicare patients they take, reduce services, or stop accepting Medicare altogether. So while the cuts aren’t coming directly out of people’s pockets, they will reduce access to care for seniors and people with disabilities."

Very simple game. There are 20% TOTAL available tax cuts for the wealthy. They will have to PERSONALLY fight in the Hunger Games (or something more fun--for the PUBLIC VIEWING AUDIENCE). Who survives gets a CHANCE at the prize. The losers forfeit their fortunes to the public. You know, REAL LIFE.

Spankee GOLF CARTS AWAY from this game--but then he loses his teeny tiny fortune of one-hole outhouses (and everything else too).

If you don't play, you forfeit all assets. Rules are rules, after all....

OK, now this is the sneaky way in which they cut medicare and a lot of us, myself included, will be affected. I look at Republicans balking at the bill as they want something in return for their vote, so I have to just cross my fingers and Hope. I don't know, nor do I know where to look to get a good assessment on the odds of this occurring.

First time I've heard of PAYGO,and I hope it gets waived. SMH.

On another hand, Trump is lazily picking the low hanging fruit to deport. Those people who can be contacted, will come in when requested, and want to do the right thing get deported. The hardened criminals aren't going to come in and they probably can't be contacted.
