LurkerMom: Open borders...

Well, lessee.

In the two years before Mr. Biden took office, the Trump administration released nearly 713,000 immigrants, or a little over 52 percent of the 1.4 million crossers. In other words, Mr. Trump’s policies resulted in far fewer removals in absolute terms and a slightly higher percentage of released border crossers than Mr. Biden’s.

I guess Trump had open borders, too.

Neither Trump nor Biden -- nor anyone else, for that matter -- will solve the immigration challenges without a willing, involved Congress.

LurkerMom: ...Afghanistan...

Trump inked the "Surrender Agreement" that released 5,000 Taliban fighters and tried to invite the Taliban to Camp David on the anniversary of 9/11. Trump drastically drew down troops in the region and tried desperately to remove all the troops in January of 2021 but, lucky for him, his military commanders said "no," or you'd be blaming him for the tragic deaths that occurred during the withdrawal. [Kidding, of course... you have never ever blamed Trump for a single thing.] Trump bragged that he boxed in Biden, who would be unable to alter the course that Trump set in motion.

Biden okayed some tactical errors made during the withdrawal but that's what happens in fluid situations: sh!t happens.

LurkerMom: ...Americans living from paycheck to paycheck...

In the year of your Lord and Savior, Trump, 2019 78% of U.S. workers were living paycheck to paycheck. Today, it's about 61%.

And I gave you other pertinent data earlier today but here it is again (maybe you'll grasp it this time):

The US has the lowest inflation rate of any of the G-7 economies.

Real wages for the average worker are higher than they were before the pandemic.

The unemployment rate, which stood at 6.3 percent when Biden took office, has fallen under 4.0 percent and has been under 4.0% for the longest period in more than half a century.

The Conference Board reports that workplace satisfaction is at the highest level in the almost forty years they have conducted their survey.

If you cannot find a job in America today, it's probably because you don't want one.

LurkerMom: ...rampant crime across America...

The number of murders in the first half of 2023 fell by 9.4% compared to the first half of 2022.

Gun assaults (-5.6%), robberies (-3.6%), nonresidential burglaries (-5%), larcenies (-4.1%), residential burglaries (-3.8%), and aggravated assaults (-2.5%) all fell in the first six months of this year compared to the same timeframe last year.

The outlier is motor vehicle theft, which rose by 33.5% in the first half of the year.

BTW, homicide rates were the lowest since WWII in 2014, when Obama was president and that Biden guy was vice president.
