President Donald Trump’s eldest son referred to Portland and Seattle as “craphole cities” in an interview with Newsmax when talking about the administration’s takeover of the Washington, D.C., police force.
Donald Trump Jr. also suggested the possibility of a federal takeover of police forces in the two Pacific Northwest cities.

People are opening calling for the federal government to take over local governments and no one really bats an eye. Some of this is coming from the federal government too.
I live in Seattle (in the city limits) and find it to be a very pleasant place to live. Like all cities, there are some challenges. One of them is that so many people want to live here housing has become very expensive.
Don Jr. said the motivation very plainly: They want to use government force because they disagree with the political views.
