Which is very cool. My primary objective in getting the COVID shot was to not end up on a ventilator or dead. I'll take the lower heart attack risk as a bonus. :-)

Similar with polio, smallpox, TDaP, MMR...just don't want to get those nasty bugs that can maim or kill me.

The anti-vax people don't have a clue. They grew up in a world where they didn't have to worry about any of these scourges because everyone was already vaccinated. 1poormom grew up in an era where they DID have to worry about them, and she knew many people who fell to some of these horrors. She went to school with several people who had polio. I went to school with ONE. She (mom) was the era of iron lungs. Today, I think there is one functioning iron lung on the planet. Etc.
