The week's question
In December 2024, in the thread "Re: BRK: Why Not XOM?", BreckHutHigh asked the members: "What about the long road trips with kids?" This week it is put to everyone again. The button below opens the small thread re-asking it - read what others have said so far, then give your own answer as an ordinary reply.

although successful corruption still lead by 10X, failures of trump vexatious litigation is catching up.
gone are the 2025 days of immediate capitulation by spineless law firms , corporations, and universities.

BBC Jan6 case :
- MAGA judge allows trump to change $10b damages from biz to personal reputation...6 months after the deadline, and for exactly the same amount! not suspicious at all.
- same judge denies trump protection of biz docs in discovery...so far.
- BBC subpoenas trumplets and close allies regarding reputational damage...legal testimony regarding whether trump's behavior was consistent in support for Jan6'ers , or against their actions. not exactly a win-win scenario.
- currently, Secret service is blocking subpoena servers as a 'security threat' to trumplets. SS have, in writing, refused to deliver or cooperate.

inevitable outcome : BBC is winning, and will not go away as THEY are ones being sued for $10b and provided all discovery documents well before the deadline.
either trump-side discovery and subpoenas will proceed (and precede) trial, or trump will drop the case to prevent such and claim victory.
no repercussions for trump, as always. (not even defendant and court costs?)

-----------------

IRS slush fund case :
- every tactic by trump furthers the case this is fraud committed on the court; a pre-colluded settlement by 'defendant' DoJ and 'victim' trump.
- this may have reached the point trump may not be allowed to drop and vanish with no repercussions. how much appetite will a lower court have to actually punish?
