The poll found that 82 percent of Jewish Israelis support expelling Palestinians from Gaza and 56 percent back the expulsion of Arab citizens of Israel — up from 45 percent and 31 percent, respectively, in a similar poll in 2003.
These are horrifying and damning numbers. I don't believe they reflect true Israeli attitudes because polling of Israelis ahead of the election is not showing any increased support for the parties espousing such extremist views. The parties of Ben Gvir and Smotrich are polling the same as their power in the last election, at most. Overall, polling indicates an expected win by the parties that are opposed to Netanyahu's extremist government.
