Jim (mungofitch) has been occasionally writing about this for the last several years. Specifically with BRK.B. Voluminous threads on the old TMF boards, some here on shrewdm, on a couple of boards.

The main problem is that the pseudo-interest rate is quite high for most stocks. For BRK.B the rates from 2017-2022 were in the 2%-3% -ish range. Since 2022 it's 6%-7% -ish.

You will find VERY FEW discussions about this strategy in the mainstream options books & articles, most options people seem to focus on quick skyrocket strategies.
