The only thing new in the Capital & Empire piece is the claimed CIA analysis. I have heard opinions expressed by several others, that say the same thing: Israel's influence over the US population is waning, due to the behavior of the Israeli government. Therefore, the Israeli government is seeking to imbed itself within the US government, so their influence on the US is no longer as obvious. Remember the "Total Information Awareness" program that John Poindexter was involved with? Public outcry over the program's massive invasion of people's privacy forced Congress to stop publicly debating the program's funding. So, the program was buried deep in DoD's secret intelligence apparatus, so it's activities, and budget, were no longer open to public examination. Same thing is now being done with the Israeli influence program.
