Consumer Alert:
As a life-long (OK, since I was 10) coin collector, I would like to point out that people who buy third-party coins (Trump, Franklin Mint, etc.) aren’t collectors, they’re marks. Heck, even buying “special” coins at inflated prices from the U.S. Mint is incredibly stupid. 99.99% of the time all this crap turns out to be worthless (or in the case of the Mint, metal content or face value).
If you want to buy a Trump coin because you get a boner when you look at it, fine. But otherwise, you’d be better off spending your money on Beanie Babies (and please, don’t do that).
